CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Join the Kids Min team to serve the families of our church throughout the week and in various capacities! We are looking for teachers, leaders, helpers, buddies (Aides for children with special needs), and dancers.

  • The Set-Up Ministry ensures an excellent environment for the worship service. This entails setting up chairs, ensuring the auditorium is clean, and various other jobs that ensure everyone can be fully focused on the teaching of the word.

  • The Tear-Down Ministry upkeeps the excellent environment of the church so that other ministries can run smoothly. Rearranging chairs and tables in the auditorium and general cleaning of the lobby are the main ways this is accomplished.

  • The Greeting Ministry welcomes everyone into our church home to show the hospitality of God. We also help guests get to the areas they are looking for so that they can be taught the word of God.

  • The Gatekeepers Ministry helps the Church operate in a safe manner so the Word of God is illuminated without any disruption. We also serve as the fist line of defense, and the last line of meet and greet for any newcomers that may be visiting our Church and running a little behind we will guide them in the right direction.

  • The Parking Ministry seeks to help everyone arrive and leave the church efficiently and safely. Also, as the first ones people see when they drive up, we want to make everyone feel welcome to our church home.

  • The Usher Ministry serves the church by helping to facilitate an excellent Sunday service. Tasks include welcoming congregants, handing out bulletins & pens, passing offering bag, and helping seat people.

  • The Worship Ministry is a front-facing skill-based ministry with a high level of expected commitment. We get to lead the congregation weekly in the worship of God with excellence, with an eye toward bringing them to a higher view of Him every week.

  • The Tech Ministry seeks to aid each element of the worship service to be clearly understood and participated with. The team does this through amplification, slides, recording, etc. so that everyone in attendance can get the most out of the service.

  • The Compass Connect Ministry seeks out and welcomes new members to the church. We are ready with the information people need to feel welcome when they show up. We do everything from helping people plug into the ministries they are interested in, to helping them find the right classrooms for their children. It is such a special opportunity to welcome and encourage people to make CBCT their new home.

  • The Hospitality Ministry seeks to emulate the hospitality Christ has shown us through welcoming guests and members of Compass Tustin by serving food & drinks. Because guests may often feel isolated, the servants in the hospitality ministry leverage our role to introduce ourselves and help connect guests to our church.

  • The Medical Ministry is a group of medical professionals who serve our church body by providing basic medical care and treatment during emergency situations until advanced life support arrives on scene at the church building or at other church events. This ministry makes sure the members of our church body feel safe, supported and well cared for.

  • The Navigating Motherhood Ministry seeks to bring in non-Christian, non-churched women into our church and meet their needs practically with a free program that includes breakfast, childcare, and practical teaching on motherhood; and meets their needs spiritually through the intentional sharing of the gospel.
